What Zen Full Width does

Full width, site-wide

Every page and section on the site stretches to the full content width.

Column layouts preserved

Multi-column sections keep their ratios, such as one-third/two-thirds or half/half.

Edge-to-edge embeds

Embedded content can run edge to edge, which suits dashboards and reports.

Nothing to set per page

Add the app to a site and it applies to every page automatically.

Easy to undo

Remove the app from the site and pages return to the standard SharePoint width.

How to install

  1. Download the package

    Download the free .sppkg file for Zen Full Width from this page.

  2. Add it to your App Catalog

    A SharePoint administrator uploads the package to the tenant App Catalog and selects Deploy.

  3. Add the app to your site

    On your site, open Site contents, choose New, then App, and add the app.

  4. Refresh your pages

    The extension switches on when the app is added. Refresh any page on the site to see the change.

Settings

Zen Full Width has no settings. It applies to every page on the site where the app is added.

Questions

Why are modern SharePoint pages not full width by default?

Modern pages limit content to a fixed maximum width for readability, and the full-width section layout is only available on communication sites. This extension lifts that limit for all sections.

Does it change multi-column sections?

Multi-column sections keep their column ratios. Only the overall content width changes.

How do I turn it off?

Remove the app from Site contents. Pages go straight back to the standard SharePoint width.

Is this extension really free?

Yes. Zen Digital Systems provides Zen Full Width free of charge to download and use in your organisation's SharePoint Online tenant.

Does it work with SharePoint Server on-premises?

It is built for SharePoint Online in Microsoft 365. If you need a version for SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, contact us and we can discuss it.

Can you customise it for our intranet?

Yes. We can adapt the design, add fields or build a fully custom version as part of our SPFx development service.
